Musicians in Residence

Gloria Ma is our current musician in residence.

Music Feeds The Soul

Ever Sunday we gather to worship and to hear the word of god but we also feed our souls with music. I am sure you’ve been to other churches with choirs, and bands, and we’re no different. Our community has some of the most talented musicians you will ever hear. Every year we choose a new musician to participate in our Musician in Residence program. This program allows young musicians like Gloria Ma and Victor Gong to not only share their talent with the world but to build confidence performing in front of an audience. We are proud to have such talented young musicians like Gloria and Victor and we welcome you to experience their music and the music of future musicians.

Gloria Ma

Gloria has played piano for some 9 years and the violin for 5 years.

She participates annually in the United States Open Music Competition and has won multiple top placements. She has been invited to play at Carnegie Hall twice in recognition of her performance at the American Protégé competition.

Last year, she was First in her age division in both the Bay Area Piano Competition and the Charleston International Music Competition.

Grace welcomes Gloria to both share and learn and to grow her musical ability!

Victor Gong

Victor has played piano for over 9 years.

During the Covid-19 experience, he also began learning the saxophone. He has passed CM Level 8 for piano and he is currently preparing for CM Level 10.

Although Piano has always been one of Victor’s dearest interests. Through his journey, Victor realized the power and importance of music in one’s life.

He discovered that a single song can alter the mood of an individual and enliven the atmosphere of an entire room.
